I recently attempted to enter the mosque during prayer time but was denied access and informed that it is only for university students. As a member of the Muslim community, I was surprised and disappointed to be turned away from a house of worship. Mosques are traditionally open to all Muslims, especially during prayer times, regardless of their affiliation with any institution.

While I understand if the mosque is located within a university campus and has certain policies in place, it would be more respectful and in line with Islamic values to communicate these rules clearly and with compassion. I hope the administration reconsiders how these restrictions are enforced so that everyone feels welcomed and respected when seeking a place to pray. Show less »

I'm sorry to say this school is not what it seems. I will admit that the architecture and the exterior is amazing and beautiful, but most of the staff is horrible. They give the students zero rights and lock them up in the dorm (for the girls). If you don't know Arabic, they will teach you basic 1st grade Arabic and then throw you in university level arabic... I'm sorry to say this school is not what it seems. I will admit that the architecture and the exterior is amazing and beautiful, but most of the staff is horrible. They give the students zero rights and lock them up in the dorm (for the girls). If you don't know Arabic, they will teach you basic 1st grade Arabic and then throw you in university level arabic classes and expect you to pass with all As. If you explain that this is difficult for you (which myself and many other students did) They will not try to accommodate at all and just tell you to work harder. Not only that, but if you have a scholarship, you are not even allowed to drop any classes even with the difficulty you may face in Arabic. Even after all of this, If you fail for more than 2 semesters in a row, you will be kicked out of the university and they will not even give you your credits to transfer to another university.
