Reduce grooves, lines, or wrinkles with a filler. Or add more volume to your lips thanks to fillers.
Fillers are widely used in the Netherlands as a beauty treatment, for example with lip fillers. The wrinkle fillers are based on hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in your body and helps keep your skin hydrated and firm.

What are fillers?
Fillers are used to plump the skin. Fillers are effective for between 6 and 18 months. There are roughly two reasons to get fillers: contour enhancement (e.g., lips, jaw, and cheekbones) and combating skin aging (sagging, wrinkles, thinning skin).
Contour enhancement: Mainly applied to people who want fuller lips, a straighter nose, or a firmer jawline.
Skin aging: The skin naturally loses volume as we age. Children often have thick skin, while older people have very thin skin. Thanks to fillers, you can reverse the signs of aging.
The Most Popular Filler Treatments
Lip Fillers
Lip fillers are used to add volume and improve the shape of the lips. The result of the treatment is fuller, more defined lips that enhance your natural beauty.
Tear Trough Fillers
Tear trough fillers fill the hollows under the eyes, helping to reduce dark circles and a tired appearance. This creates a fresher and more youthful look.
Jawline Fillers
Jawline fillers define and tighten the jawline, giving you a more symmetrical and firmer face. This is ideal for people who want a more defined facial profile.
Fillers for Under-Eye Bags
These fillers help reduce under-eye bags by filling the area and rejuvenating your appearance. The treatment restores your well-rested and refreshed look.
The Filler Treatment
During a filler treatment, your own facial features and proportions are taken into account to achieve the result you dream of.
You can choose a filler with lidocaine, a numbing agent that makes the treatment completely painless. The filler is administered with an ultra-thin needle (cannula), so you feel as little as possible.
A treatment usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated. The effects of fillers are often visible almost immediately, but the optimal result becomes apparent after a few weeks due to possible swelling following the treatment.
Is the result of your filler treatment not as expected? That’s unfortunate, of course, but don’t worry! Fillers can be dissolved with a Hyaluronidase treatment.
Note: We do not treat women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Before and After Care
In addition to following your doctor’s instructions, there are general tips that can help minimize bruising and swelling after the treatment. These tips include:
Limit alcohol consumption for 24 hours before the treatment.
Avoid taking dietary supplements, vitamins, and fish oil for several days before the treatment.
Where possible, stop using blood-thinning medications such as Aspirin, Naproxen, or Ibuprofen a few days before the treatment.*
On the day of the treatment, taking 1 x 10 mg Cetirizine may help reduce swelling.*
Although there is no scientific evidence, many clinics recommend the homeopathic remedy Arnica to prevent bruising. (Start 5 days beforehand and take 10 drops three times a day.)
Immediately after the treatment, you may feel some swelling in the treated area. Once this has subsided, you might still feel the filler under the skin. This depends on the injection site (for example, lips are very soft), the amount of filler (larger amounts are easier to feel), the skill of the distribution (well-distributed fillers are less noticeable), and the brand of filler. Some filler brands are known to cause slight lumps. Often, these lumps resolve on their own over time (six to eight weeks). If they have not resolved after this period, you can contact your doctor.

Filler Treatment Prices
The cost of filler treatments varies by clinic. In addition, the price depends on the treatment area and the type of filler used. Each brand and type has its own price range.
The cheapest filler treatments start at €129, which is for 0.5 ML. It is advisable to choose a clinic with many positive reviews, experienced doctors, and one that uses a well-known filler brand (for example, Belotero, Restylane, Stylage, Aliaxin, or Teosyal).
On average, the price for 1 ML ranges between €300 and €400. Most clinics charge per milliliter, so the final cost also depends on the amount used.
Tip: A skilled cosmetic doctor can achieve better results with less filler than a less experienced doctor using more. Do not focus solely on filler prices and offers—cheap should not be the deciding factor when it comes to cosmetic treatments.

Botox relaxes muscles and reduces dynamic wrinkles, while fillers restore volume and target static wrinkles. Both are temporary, non-surgical treatments. The choice depends on the goal: wrinkle reduction (Botox) or volume maintenance and contour restoration (fillers). Combinations are also possible.
Fillers, often made of hyaluronic acid, are gradually broken down by the body. On average, the effect lasts 6 to 12 months, depending on the type of filler. Premium fillers like Restylane, Stylage, or Belotero can even last up to 18 months.

Fillers are safe when performed by a qualified doctor using premium brand products. Choose carefully: always research the experience and reputation of the doctor or clinic before undergoing treatment to ensure safety and optimal results.
Fillers often contain anesthetic, so only the initial injection is slightly noticeable, and the treated area then becomes numb. Most people find filler treatment relatively painless, with at most some discomfort during the procedure.
