I am writing this review as a mother, sharing our experience with Dr. Bassam and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital for my daughter’s surgery.

Dr. Bassam performed a severe deviated septum full reconstruction, and 15 days after the surgery, her healing has been smooth and the results already look very natural. Her nose was previously crooked due to past trauma, and the improvement is remarkable. Dr. Basam was kind, reassuring, and very attentive throughout.

The hospital staff were equally amazing. Everyone was professional, caring, and extremely efficient. Document requests were handled immediately, and when we urgently needed a travel clearance letter at the airport, it was provided in less than 10 minutes.

We are very grateful for the care our daughter received and highly recommend both Dr. Bassam and the hospital. Show less »

I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the quality of care provided to my fiancée at American Academy Hospital during her recent visit.

While I would like to clearly state that Dr. Qassim Ahli was professional, experienced, and conducted his role well, the medical and nursing staff’s performance was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

The following incidents occurred:
1. A cannula was inserted and left open, which resulted in blood leaking out on three separate occasions, causing unnecessary distress and risk.
2. Saline was administered incorrectly, requiring my fiancée to repeatedly pump her hand. The saline leaked outside the vein, indicating poor cannulation technique and causing visible swelling and discomfort.
3. My fiancée was left unattended in the toilet, as the staff went to attend another patient and forgot about her, which is unacceptable, especially post-procedure.
4. The medical staff demonstrated inexperience and incompetence by forcing the patient to sit up and lie down on her own, despite knowing she had just undergone surgery, putting her at risk of injury.
5. I would like to note that GP Anas was professional, supportive, and attentive, and his care was appreciated.

This experience reflects serious negligence in patient handling and post-operative care by the supporting staff. Such conduct does not meet acceptable medical or ethical standards and requires immediate review and corrective action.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously to prevent other patients from experiencing similar issues. Show less »
